Party Leader's Annual Report 2024

Dear Board Members,

I am happy to present the Leader’s Report for Rock The Vote NZ at our Annual General Meeting. This year has been a remarkable journey filled with significant achievements, formidable challenges, and inspiring teamwork.

We successfully navigated the 2023 election campaign, surpassing my anticipated vote count by a considerable margin. Our deepened relationships with the Freedoms NZ coalition partners have endured beyond the election, showcasing our resilience and strategic alignment. A renewed and refreshed Constitution (assuming it is passed today) should guide our actions, while our membership and reach have grown substantially.

We have consistently hosted a wide variety of engaging events for our members, enhancing community involvement and support. Additionally, significant improvements to our website and social media presence have enhanced our functionality and accessibility.

Our success is evident in our metrics:
•   We now have over 500 Facebook followers, bringing us closer to official party registration.
•   Our merger with the Aotearoa Party is a testament to our expanding influence.
•   Our events have seen excellent attendance, reflecting our growing community engagement.
•   We’ve forged strong relationships with nearly all NZ freedom parties, a unique achievement in NZ.

Despite facing financial challenges, we have emerged with a positive bank balance, thanks to prudent management and dedication of our team. Our website overhaul has made it more user-friendly, and our strategic alliances have enabled us to punch above our weight in the political arena.

Our Local Body Sub-Committee's involvement in local body issues and regular publications in local media have fortified our community presence.

Reflecting on this year, I am reminded that our successes are a collaborative achievement. Each of us brings unique strengths, working independently yet collaboratively towards our shared objectives. Every board member has offered unwavering support and guidance, navigating the complexities of political party operations.Your logical, rational and well-reasoned contributions are the bedrock of our success. It is a privilege to work alongside you, and I am grateful for your dedication in navigating the challenges posed by the collectivist agendas.

Looking ahead, our primary goal is to continue to strengthen our relationships with other freedom parties in NZ. We aim to demonstrate our leadership, administrative capabilities and philosophical acumen, guiding NZ into a new era of individual property rights, freedom of association, freedom of speech, freedom of movement and freedom of trade for all Kiwis.

Thank you for your support and dedication.
Yours sincerely,
John Alcock
Leader, Rock The Vote NZ Party
